Hey all~

January was a whirlwind! Lots of touring and NAMM craziness! In fact, the Songsalive! NAMM showcase that I performed at was moved from the Hilton Starbucks to the main stage in the Hilton lobby, making it even more exciting! It was a great time all around. I met one of my songwriting idols, Lisa Loeb, guitar-great Johnny Hiland, and TONS more... To view pictures from my NAMM Show experience, click to my Facebook photo album HERE!

This month holds a couple of Bay Area shows, including my first time performing at A'Roma Roasters in Santa Rosa on February 24th! The NAMM Songsalive! Showcase will take place on Friday, January 20th at 10:00 am, at the Hilton Starbucks stage as part of the 2012 NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Happy New Year!

I just wanted to take a moment on the last day of this year to reflect on how grateful I am for the support I've had all year long, and what an amazing year it has been!  I want to thank those of you who have come to my shows, connect with me on my social networks, help me with my career, and have been so supportive of my music in so many ways. 

I have always loved writing songs and performing, and knew from a very early age that I wanted music to be a huge part of my life.  I could not possibly have done half of what I've accomplished so far without your encouragement and support.  And there's more to come!  With all the competitive and negative attitudes that are out there, I'm thankful to be supported by so many positive people and so fortunate to be able to do what I love on my own terms as an indie artist.  I couldn't ask for anything better!  You let me shine!

It's truly been an amazing year of relentless and blissful touring, and after practically selling out (only a handful of copies left!) of my latest and sixth album, Next Ride Out, on the road (more albums have been ordered ;)), I'm ready for the new year!  (I'll be kicking it off with a tour to SLO and SoCal right after the New Year!)  2012 will be a year of new recordings, new cities to perform in, and most importantly new fun adventures.  And in the midst of everything, I'll be getting married! :D I'm so excited for it all!!

Can you believe it's already the end of the year??  It's a time to reflect on the year passed, and I can hardly believe how much has happened in 2011! From NAMM to Nashville, it's been one heck of a ride! SO many A+mazing things transpired this year and I'm so grateful for it all!

But...this year ain't over yet!! In fact, I have one of my biggest shows coming up TOMORROW in San Francisco at The Union Room! It's my distribution company, IDC's, big holiday concert bash and it's definitely not one to miss! I'll be playing with my band and will debut a new song! Word is this show is going to sell out quick that night so be sure to get there when doors open at 8pm--I'm on first. Be festive and come kick off the holidays with us! Hope to see you there!

Last month was a blast! I got to play the Central Coast again, which is one of my absolute favorite places. If you're in the San Luis Obispo area, be sure to support your local independent record store and pick up my album Next Ride Out at Boo Boo Records! You'll find it under "Local Artists."

This month I'll be playing around the Bay Area and participating in the Squeaky Wheel Tour again, which is a grass roots effort and concert series to gain attention for missing children and adults. AND I'll be getting back in the studio this month!!! So excited! More on that in the coming newsletters :D

The month of July holds a bunch of exciting things! I'm heading to the Summer NAMM Show in Nashville to PERFORM and HOST A SONGWRITING PANEL! I'm really excited about this! I'll be moderating a panel with hit Nashville songwriters to discuss and decode the mysteries of writing great songs. I'll be gigging while I'm in town too :) Also this month I'll be making another trip down to SoCal to play in the Los Angeles and San Diego regions! I just got through attending the 3-day ASCAP "I Create Music" Expo in Hollywood! I had pretty much the most amazing time at the Expo and it has inspired me on so many levels. Also, at the Expo I won a prize package from Limelight! I'm so excited to work with them, and more details will be released soon. Read their congrats message to me on their Facebook page here! THE 2011 DIY Music Festival has selected Katie Garibaldi and The Wallburds as the winners of its annual competition honoring the best of independent music. The acts will be showcased on March 4, 2011 at space15twenty.com in Hollywood.

Our fifth annual showcase is presented in conjunction with Bug Music, North America’s largest independent music publisher. Headlining the show will be hip-hop superstar Lyrics Born, who has collaborated with such artists as Galactic, DJ Shadow, The Bamboos, Soulico, Dosmoccos, Blackalicious, Jurassic 5, DJ Z-Trip (on the 2005 song "The Get Down"), Diverse (on the song "Explosive"), Tommy Guerrero, R. L. Burnside (on the song "Someday Baby"), Morcheeba, Zion I, Mistah F.A.B. and Pigeon John, among others.
