I have just returned from my road trip down to the Santa Barbara wine country for the Durango Songwriter's Expo. It was my first time attending this conference and I learned some new things, met new artists and industry pros, and even ran into a couple old friends :) It was nice to be surrounded by so many people sharing the same passion as I do--songwriting!

Saturday, March 8th I will be volunteering as a mentor for the local peninsula Boys & Girls Club's "Girl's Day." Being a role model to young kids, especially young girls, is something that's very important to me. This is my second year volunteering as a mentor for Girl's Day and I encourage everyone who is interested in mentoring the youth to check out their local Boys & Girls Club chapter.
