Katie Garibaldi Her latest album, Next Ride Out, is altogether vibrant and rich with lively performances, from strong country-esque tunes to upbeat catchy pop treasures, to moving ballads. Michael Molenda, a noted producer and editor-in-chief of Guitar Player magazine, produced the album at Tiki Town Studios in Mill Valley, California. The studio has been home to many major label artists, as well as U.S. and European indie artists. Skope Magazine says, "Overall, Katie Garibaldi and her new work offer remarkable traits such as: true-to-oneself-artistry, excellent musicianship and lyrics and vocals to die for." Radioindy calls Next Ride Out, "a folk-pop tour de force to rival those of similar singer-songwriters whose brands are veritable household names. Like Sheryl Crow, Jewel, Fiona Apple or Ani DiFranco, Garibaldi is a soulful singer/songwriter of real - if largely unheralded - merits." Gilli Moon of Songsalive! states, "(Katie's) voice is almost like Sarah McLaughlin, and a touch of Feist, on a bed of edgy rockin' grooves, country feels and memorable melodies." JB Swift of Swift Reviews writes, "It's no surprise that yet another good album comes out of San Francisco, CA. Singer/Songwriter Katie Garibaldi, however, raises the bar. Katie is no stranger to music as the owner of her own record label, Living Dream Music, a recording artist and touring performer. On her sixth full-length album, Next Ride Out, she showcases her skills as a true Americana artist." Read more reviews here. Next Ride Out is currently being played on over 30 radio stations nationally, as well as many internet radio stations, including WomensRadio and Women of Substance Radio, and can also be heard on various international stations. Katie’s eclectic taste of music stems from an early blend of influences, including the Beatles, the Jackson 5, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Huey Lewis, the Beach Boys, and a lot of “oldies” classics on the radio. Later musical influences include Jewel, Sheryl Crow, Tom Petty, Celine Dion, Lisa Loeb, the Wallflowers, Shania Twain, and Patty Griffin. The singer/songwriter started playing guitar at a young age and at the age of 15 began performing at retirement homes, open mics, and volunteer gigs. Soon, those small gigs turned into festivals, cafes, clubs, and private parties. Over the years of performing and recording her songs, Katie’s hobby and passion became her fulfilling career. Concentrating on songs about relationships, love, pain, and hope, often based on real experiences—Katie Garibaldi sings with an emotional nearness that, in combination with her melodic and catchy songs and her soulful and expressive vocals, captures her audience wherever she performs. Whether she’s performing solo or with a backup band, Katie has a characteristic musical style wherein her equally pop- and country-tinged folk-rock gives her a distinct and edgy sound—Americana Roots Rock. A budding humanitarian, the artist has done several benefit shows, directly working with non-profit organizations, including Muttville senior dog rescue, Guitars Not Guns, Toys For Tots, Music in Schools Today, and GINA For Missing Persons. Outside of her musical world, Katie Garibaldi is active in her community and is a veteran volunteer at the Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula as a mentor at the club’s “Girl’s Day” event. WomensRadio included Katie on their "Hot Up-N-Comers of 2010" and she was also featured in Sonicbids "Artists 2 Watch" presented by Skope Mag in February 2010. Katie is an innovative businesswoman, volunteers as the San Francisco chapter coordinator of the non-profit organization that supports artists and songwriters, Songsalive!, the owner of her own label, Living Dream Music, a creative recording artist, and aggressive national touring performer who has acquired a devoted fan base, due in large part to her engaging live shows, and personal connection to her listeners through her music.
